  • Understand the benefits of using Google Workspace applications.
  • Navigate the Google Drive interface and manage files effectively.
  • Create and edit documents in Google Docs.
  • Create and edit spreadsheets in Google Sheets.
  • Create and edit presentations in Google Slides.
  • Create and manage online forms with Google Forms.
  • Collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms with others.

Course Outline:

Module 1: Introduction to Google Workspace (2 hours)

  • What is Google Workspace?
  • Benefits of using cloud-based applications.
  • Setting up a Google Workspace account (if applicable).
  • Introduction to the Google Drive interface.
  • Uploading, downloading, and managing files and folders in Google Drive.
  • Sharing files and folders with others (permission settings).

Module 2: Google Docs (4 hours)

  • Introduction to Google Docs and its functionalities.
  • Creating and formatting text documents.
  • Working with fonts, styles, and paragraphs.
  • Adding images, tables, and other elements.
  • Collaborating on documents in real-time.
  • Tracking changes and suggestions.
  • Using comments and suggestions for feedback.
  • Downloading and converting Google Docs to different formats (e.g., .docx, .pdf)

Module 3: Google Sheets (4 hours)

  • Introduction to Google Sheets and its functionalities.
    • Entering and formatting data in spreadsheets.
    • Using formulas and functions (basic) for calculations and data manipulation.
    • Creating charts and graphs to visualize data.
    • Sorting and filtering data.
    • Collaborating on spreadsheets in real-time.
    • Sharing and publishing Google Sheets.

    Module 4: Google Slides (4 hours)

    • Introduction to Google Slides and its functionalities.
    • Creating and formatting presentations.
    • Adding text, images, videos, and other elements to slides.
    • Using layouts and themes for a cohesive design.
    • Transitions and animations for visual impact.
    • Delivering presentations (speaker notes, presenter view).
    • Collaborating on presentations in real-time.
    • Downloading and converting Google Slides to different formats (e.g., .pptx, .pdf)

    Module 5: Google Forms (2 hours)

    • Introduction to Google Forms and its functionalities.
    • Creating different types of questions (multiple choice, short answer, etc.).
    • Using branching logic to create conditional workflows.
    • Collecting and analyzing form responses.
    • Exporting form data to Google Sheets.

    Assessment:

    Throughout the course, there will be opportunities to practice your skills through hands-on activities and short quizzes. Additionally, there will be a final project requiring you to create and share a document, spreadsheet, presentation, or form using the learned skills.
